Empowering Children Through Individual Support

Developmental Support for Children in Oxfordshire

What we Do

Have you noticed your child is finding things a little harder than expected — perhaps with talking, confidence, focus or managing emotions?
You might already have spoken to a professional, or be waiting for further support, and feel unsure what to do in the meantime.
You’re not alone — many families feel this way.

At Inch Pebbles, I provide individual, play-based developmental support for children under 10.
Sessions focus on building strong, trusting relationships that help children feel safe, confident and ready to engage and learn.

This is not therapy.
It is supportive, child-led input designed to help your child develop through small, achievable steps — particularly while you are waiting for, or alongside, specialist services.
I support children who may be:
• finding it difficult to communicate or express themselves
• lacking confidence or becoming easily frustrated
• struggling with attention or engagement
• sensitive to noise, movement or sensory experiences
• finding some aspects of development more challenging

Children don’t learn everything at once.
Progress happens through small steps.
At Inch Pebbles, we focus on these small, manageable steps — helping children experience success, build confidence, and gradually develop new skills.

Many families come to me when:
• they are waiting for speech and language therapy or assessments
• they feel unsure how to support their child
• they want gentle, practical support without pressure

While I am not a therapist, I work alongside families to support their child’s development through practical, play-based strategies, and I always encourage parents to seek advice from qualified professionals where appropriate. For further information about early learning and development, the NHS Best Start in Life resource provides clear, practical guidance for parents.
